Answering employers' questions

Why employ autistic individuals?

Interested in training on how best to interview autistic candidates?

Why use Job Link as a hiring professional?

They have the special skills and traits that typically-abled individuals lack

"Difference not deficit"

The outdated, irrelevant deficit model has been replaced by the value model which recognises autistic talent

Enlightened companies see neurodiversity as a new and underused creative and business lever

There is a value argument, a talent argument and, yes, a market and commercial argument for employing autistic individuals

They bring more perspectives to the workforce, injecting refreshing diversity of thinking and approach

Tap into a pool of amazing talent, help reduce their isolation when unemployed plus they have regularly proven to radically improve key processes of organisations with total "left field solutions"

Once you have an autistic employee, they are known to stay with companies for years, decades even, given the right support - they are very loyal, reliable employees

Build a culture of inclusion and one that is more desirable to work in

 Create a better brand

Add value to the bottom line, have better business outcomes and drive sustainable results

You've heard of the "sales funnel" - well now we can tell you about the "autism funnel" - certain types of brains in certain types of roles in certain types of environments can can lead to huge results! They key is to recognise autistic talent, find the roles that fit and create a supportive environment

Job Link jobs board

The purpose of this Job Board

Autistic individuals often become superstar employees if only they could get the jobs! Only 16% of autistic individuals are employed though many more want to work. Many struggle to build a Resume / CV that they can easily sell to employers even though they may have many skills. More and more hiring professionals are recognising the potential of autistic individuals. Please email us if you wish to add your details to the Jobs Board. Please email us if you wish to respond to any postings.

Job Link helps reduce the "chance factor" with autism employment

As previously mentioned, there is an awful lot of chance at work regarding the employment of autistic individuals....a job advert that is clear and does not include a lot of excess requirements; an interview that really involves getting to know the skills profile of a candidate, by an interviewer who "gets" their interviewee; maybe chancing upon an autism friendly company or recruitment process and so on. It should not be all down to chance! job Link helps reduce this chance factor.

Job Link is about a bridge rather than a barrier

Autistic job seekers face so many barriers to employment: negotiating the grey and muddled nature of job adverts and how to apply; the dreaded job interview that is so autism unfriendly; keeping a job in an organisation that might know little about autism accommodations. Job Link, however, creates a much needed bridge.
